Big Bang Boom 2026 — Norfolk, Nebraska’s 4th of July Fireworks Festival

50TH ANNIVERSARY
Get ready for the biggest Big Bang Boom in the history of Norfolk! 2026 marks the 250th birthday of the United States, and is also the 50th anniversary of the Big Bang Boom celebration. In honor of these two milestones, we will be bringing you the biggest, loudest, and hottest fireworks show that Norfolk has ever seen! In addition to that, we have two nights of musical entertainment that you won’t want to miss!
Parking Change for July 3 and July 4, 2026. For the first time in fifty years, all Big Bang Boom parking will enter and exit from 25th Street on the north side of the bridge. The park entrance at Maple and 18th will be closed to all traffic to allow for the bus route. Handicap parking will also enter and leave off of 25th Street. 2026 CONCERT LINEUP
This year’s musical guests on Friday night will be BOUNDLESS opening up for CLASSIC JOURNEY
Saturday’s lineup begins with KANCHO at 4:00 PM, followed by TOBY MAY at 6:00 PM. The Norfolk Freedom Point flag dedication ceremony takes place at 7:30 PM, then country music star SAMMY KERSHAW headlines at 8:00 PM.
The preshow and introductions begin at 9:45 p.m. Saturday night followed by the main fireworks show.

Behind The Boom
The 2021 Big Bang Boom show was the subject of a documentary movie titled “Behind The Boom”. This film was entered in to numerous film festivals, including the Iowa Independent Film Festival, South Dakota Independent Film Festival, Tallahassee Film Festival, Big Sky Film Festival, and Omaha Film Festival. This movie gives a behind the scenes look at everything that goes on over the course of a year to make Big Bang Boom a spectacular event! Check it out below.
